Itinerary
  • 1
    Welcome to Costa Rica

  • 2
    Nature, Community, and Coffee Traditions
Hike through the local reserve where biodiversity comes alive. In the afternoon, connect through a local coffee experience — one of Costa Rica’s defining traditions — and share a warm meal in a meaningful local setting.
  • 3
    Canopy Adventure and New Landscapes
Leave Palmichal and cross stunning landscapes with a canopy experience along the way. Arrive at your ecolodge, unwind, then head out for a night wildlife walk — a different side of the forest after dark.
  • 4
Waterfalls, Hot Springs, and La Fortuna
Travel to iconic La Fortuna. Visit La Fortuna Waterfall, lunch among tropical beauty, and spend the afternoon in natural hot springs. In the evening, explore downtown and feel the energy of this adventure town.
  • 5
From the Rainforest to the Pacific Coast
Continue to Jacó on the Pacific — settle in and enjoy the pool or beach. As the sun sets, dinner in town and the lively coastal atmosphere.
  • 6
    Manuel Antonio and Ocean Time
Explore Manuel Antonio National Park — rainforest, wildlife, and ocean in one place. Trails, monkeys and sloths, lunch near the beach, and time in the water. Depending on the group: surfing, beach time, or evening energy.
  • 7
    Adventure, Reflection, and Departure
One last Costa Rican morning with optional snorkeling or surfing, then return toward San José. Depending on flights, you may depart that evening or add an optional final night in the city — closing the week with memories, friendships, and a deeper bond with Costa Rica.

The Rwenzori Mountains — called the "Mountains of the Moon" by ancient geographers — sit on the border of Uganda and the DRC, rising to over 5,000 metres. This isn't a race. It's a 10-day running journey through Afro-alpine moorlands, glacial lakes, and villages that don't appear on Google Maps. Sean ran his first route here in 2024 and came back to build a group trip around it. Accommodation is mountain huts and local lodges. Meals are cooked by guides from the villages we pass through.

No prior mountaineering experience needed — but you should be comfortable running or hiking 15–25km per day. G Adventures handles all in-country logistics. Sean handles the story.
